This was our first stop on our first full day in Waikiki. It was a little difficult to find the shop but once we did, the staff was super welcoming and accommodating. It was just my boyfriend and I doing the lesson, so we were able to go out a little earlier with our instructor Cody. They took care of everything, stored our stuff, charged my phone while I went and and were just overall very friendly. The lesson was a lot of fun, despite me only being able to stand up once lol. Cody was patient and gave great pointers throughout the lesson. Only minor issue was that we waited over 20 mins for the photographer to come so we could see pictures that we were told were taken during our lesson. The photographer never came and when we called the next day, we were told there weren't any pictures of our lesson. Definitely a bummer but doesn't take away from how much fun we had :)

My gf and I took semi private surf lessons with Josh, highly recommend because he’s awesome, and my gf was riding waves like a pro by her second wave and I was catching them by my 3rd or 4th and I was a total newbie. Everyone was super friendly and the photographer was skilled and it is a souvenir that is totally worth it. Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and helpful!

My 12 year old son and his 72 year old grandfather did a small group lesson with Chad from Big Wave Dave and they had a ball. Chad was a very experienced instruction and great with all the people in the group. The equipment was good, although Grandpa could have used a smaller board but Chad didn't know how good he was. The staff at the shop were really helpful, friendly and down to earth. They even have great coffee! It was a wonderful way to finish our fantastic holiday.
