All the equipment is included on this manatee snorkel tour in Crystal River, Florida. Snorkelers don on wet suits, mask, snorkel and fins to see a large population of resident sea cows. Our in-water guides known as the Dive-master keep the experience safe and fun for both manatees and people. Snorkelers swim with these gentle giants for a once in a lifetime experience. Based on the description of the trip, we expected to go out into nature and swim with the managers. Instead, we were sailed around a small densely populated and heavily trafficked area. There were more boats from tour operators than there were probably manatees. Our group did not manage to meet a manatee. Only on the return trip in the boat did we see the back of a manatee. Truly an oversold activity!
