Tahoe Helicopter Tour: Lakes and Waterfalls

Overview

Weight limits apply: Maximum per-passenger weight is 250lbs. Maximum weight of all passengers combined must not exceed 500lbs.

Passenger weights must be accurately provided at time of booking. Groups reaching a combined weight of 500 lbs will be subject to a weight check upon arrival for their flight. Any individual weighing 300 lbs or more will not be permitted to fly per the limitations of the aircraft. Any cancellation of a planned flight due to weights exceeding the maximum allowable aircraft weight (individual or combined) will be charged at full price.

Starting at South Tahoe Airport, this 30 minute tour first embarks to Emerald Bay, then south past Mount Tallac, and over the shoreline of Fallen Leaf lake. Head west over Glen Alpine Falls below, climbing towards Pyramid Peak. The area is scattered with myriad lakes and waterfalls. Fly over Lake Aloha and past Horsetail Falls, dropping nearly 500 feet.

What To Expect

Lake Tahoe Area

Departing the Lake Tahoe Airport, you'll head to the south shore of breathtaking Lake Tahoe, then along the shoreline to Emerald Bay to take in the stunning views of this iconic alpine lake. Depart Emerald Bay heading south over Fallen Leaf Lake on your way to see the beautiful and rugged Desolation Wilderness. The area is dotted with many lakes as you climb up to 10,000 feet! Fly past Horsetail Falls, dropping over 500 feet. The tour concludes after reaching Echo Summit and then returning to the Lake Tahoe Airport.

I booked this tour with my friend who is a quadriplegic. When we booked the tour, they gave us the confidence that they could help her have a great tour. They definitely followed through on that. Jacoby was our pilot and he enlisted the help of a co-worker to help get my friend into and out of the helicopter very carefully. Jacoby was constantly checking up with us during the flight to make sure we were comfortable and feeling secure. He explained everything we saw, which was amazing. The only downfall was the weather....we weren't able to go over the waterfalls like we had hoped but he took us to some other areas. We felt very safe and secure with Jacoby and would do this again!

Fantastic views - Josh was an awesome pilot/host, really catered to my autistic son who loves helicopters. Josh provided fun facts, pointed out interesting homes/areas and even allowed my autistic son to sit in the pilot's seat after our ride - even put his own sunglasses on him!! Thanks Josh - you made the trip for me, my son Brandon and my daughter Jordyn AWESOME - Thank you!!

Excellent and professional. Jacoby was our pilot and went the "extra mile" to get me the best pictures. Claudio, Josh and Jacoby make an excellent team. This is a great way to see some of the spectacular scenery in the Lake Tahoe region.
