Our small group wine tours allow for our guests to have a more one on one experience while exploring the Hill Country wine region (Texas' best kept secret!). Our knowledgeable tour guides are able to provide not only history and insight to the local area, but also thoroughly educate guests on the wine making and wine tasting process. Our tours have no minimum, and are guaranteed to be conducted no matter how small the reservation may be; rain or shine, and our tour group size will never exceed 8 guests.

This tour visits two (2) area Wineries and allows for guests to visit the town of Fredericksburg for 90min. Enjoy the scenic drive from downtown San Antonio as we venture further out into Texas Hill Country.

What To Expect

Sister Creek Vineyards

Guests will arrive to this rustic and historic tasting room and will be guided on a short barrel room tour of the winery. A wine tasting will follow the tour.

Texas Wine Collective

Fredericksburg Visitor Information Center

Guests will spend 90min in the town of Fredericksburg, TX. On their own, guests will have a chance to have lunch, browse shops, or experience additional wine tastings.

Cindy was an excellent tour guide from cotton wood wine tours. The winery's were excellent. I would recommend this tour to anyone that comes to San Antonio.

I loved this tour. I'm not a wine expert by any means, but Robin did such a wonderful job educating us on Texas wine. The area is really special and we were even able to make an extra stop in Luckenbach. Robin was unbelievably accommodating; carrying purchases as we walked about, providing restaurant and wine recommendations and even called that morning to ask if we would rather be picked up at the hotel...UH YAAAS!! I would definitely recommend Robin and Cottonwood for future tours!

We were a group of 6 people so we traveled in a small comfortable mini-van. Melanie was charming and spoke for a few minutes during this 45 minute ride from San Antonio to the 1st winery. At the winery, Leticia who was very personable and charming let us sample 5 wines while she explained how each was made and the type of grapes used. The next winery was about a 15 minute ride. At this winery, William chatted about the 5 samples we tasted there as well. There is a lovely shop attached to the winery, but sadly we were not given any time to shop. Then we drove to Fredricksburg. Nothing of any particular interest was pointed out other than the myriad shops. We had to choose between eating lunch (not included) or shopping. No time for both. While the restaurant we chose had great service and great food, we were disappointed that we were not given any time to shop or wander around this little town.. This tour cost $159 and all it was was a ride to 2 wineries & then to a town to see nothing. Very disappointing tour. I am surprised at Viator because I have used their tours all over the world and they were always wonderful.
