Tasty Global Bites is a walking food tour of Nolita (North of Little Italy). This tour is offered for foodies (visitors and locals alike) looking to try global cuisine. On this 3 hour tour you will enjoy 6 amazing tastings, 3 seated and 3 on-the-go as your knowledgeable tour guide entertains you with exciting stories and secrets of the area's past and the ever changing food scene.

The six tastings feature a Spanish churro sandwich, NYC pizza with a twist, falafel, mouthwatering fresh Sicilian pasta, Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) and a scrumptious dessert, gelato. Some tastings are on-the-go as we aim to see as much as possible of the neighborhoods in 3 hours’ time. Wine is offered to guests 21 and older at the seated pasta tasting.

What To Expect

Nolita

Discover a scrumptious NYC neighborhood, Nolita (north of Little Italy) on this three-hour food and walking tour. You will begin your tour at a popular churrerira. Your friendly guide will provide you with an in-depth introduction to the neighborhood and an overview of the tour while you enjoy a fresh hot churro breakfast sandwich. From there, you will explore Nolita, visit historical landmarks and continue your culinary journey. You will taste Israeli falafel, a classic spin on NYC pizza, fresh homemade Sicilian pasta (with an option to enjoy a glass of wine), authentic gelato and Japanese rice balls (onigiri). This tour is ideal for those looking to taste a variety of cuisine all within three hours’ time. Finally, each participant is provided with a helpful handout at the beginning of the tour which includes a list of all the tastings and recommendations.

We bought out a tour as part of a team building event. The guides were very educational and personable. They made an effort to connect with all the members of the team and knew that the best part of a food tour is the FOOD! They made sure that everyone had more than enough samples at the first few places for the "appetizers". The main course was in a completely unassuming restaurant, many of us have walked by, but never ventured inside. To our surprise, there were tables set up for us to enjoy our main course of 2 types of pasta. To round off the tour we went to another private space at a bakery where we were able to top it all off with a sweet and hot beverage of your choice. Along the way the guides provide history both of the food and the neighborhood. This walking tour is not much walking but a whole of eating delicious food and everyone had a great time!
