Taste of Santa Fe Wine and Dine Lunch

Overview
The Taste of Santa Fe Tour is unique because it features 3 of our top spots in Santa Fe, highlights our favorite historical points of interest, and wraps up with our favorite hidden gem for dessert. This tour has a bit more of a upscale theme, is eclectic, and happens to be our top tour. We will provide information about the history of Santa Fe, our food, culture, and historical points of interests. This tour includes a full lunch, n/a drinks, alcohol pairings (Such as wine, margaritas, or local beers), as well as dessert. This tour meets at 10:45am near the plaza (Exact meeting instructions will be found on your ticket), starts at 10:55am and lasts 2.5-3 hours. **NOTE** This tour may feature New Mexican inspired foods and can be spicy for some guests. We don't recommend this tour for anyone with serious food restrictions and minimal walking ability.

The food and wine tour was very well handled. Our tour guide, Jose, was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. The food on the tour was great. The history and culture that was shared by Jose brought Santa Fe to life for all of us.

Our guide, Jose, took us on a fabulous walking tour and progressive lunch. We enjoyed the r trio of risotto balls with paired white wine at Iluminaria restaurant. Then it was off to Santa cafƩ, which was the most elegant restaurant of our experience.. Delicious white fish served over zucchini pasta with the most colorful display of sauces. And wine! Then we visited three Catholic churches on the way, including the one with the miracle stairway. I believe Jose would benefit from reading gateway to the moon by Mary Morris, which describes the Spanish inquisition and the converso Jews that fled to New Mexico. Then he would be able to better explain to the group why there is a Jewish star in one of these churches. anyhow, then we went to the third restaurant, Cafe Sena. Not my favorite food, but I believe it is more enjoyable sitting outside in the beautiful outdoor cafƩ area when the weather is warmer. We ended our tour at Kawari, an amazing chocolatier that offered us warm elixir of chocolate and then ice cream. Heaven!! Jose is so knowledgeable and likable, and we were delighted to have him be our guide. He is a former professor and historian. One of the highlights of our group of four couples was getting to know everyone at these meals. we met another couple that we continued on to Canyon Road with afterwards. I highly recommend this very unique experience. We would go again even on our next visit to Santa Fe because it is so incredible.
