Writing this review after I walked away after over an hour. I expected this to be a tasting tour of this wonderful market, not a historical overview of its history. Spent over one hour hearing about the founders and their families, looking at photos of the early days, and walking past stalls with Marcia talking to vendors without stopping. Had a great overview of the gum wall, as a matter of fact taken to see two angles of it. In one hour the only samples we received were water, a quarter of a sticky bun from her purse, and about two ounces of gelato.
There were five of us on this tour and she stated the last tour had only three. Guess that kind of sums up the ability and reputation of this tour.
Called up the wholesaler to complain, and without any pressure they agreed to refund the cost. They had integrity but think seriously about wasting your time and money on this trip. Guide Marcia is enthusiastic but really boring,
