Overall this was a fun experience. I am from the area and have been to Pike Place many times but did not know much of the history of the market. Our tour guide, Bob, was very professional and knowledgeable and did a great job! As for the foodā¦ I was a little disappointed with some of the stops not because the food wasnāt good, but because free samples are already offered to the public. For example, one sample was smoked salmon (very tasty) but free samples of the smoked salmon are offered at several fish stalls. Also, I was hoping to learn about a few new places to try food, but felt like some of these stops didnāt hold up, like the barbecue was just so-so. Overall the tour is great for anyone who wants to learn the history of the market but I suggest saving room afterwards to sample directly from vendors, for free. And try the Piroshkyās, they are delicious!

Hi Hanna - So sorry the tour didn't meet your expectations, but glad you liked your tour guide! We think Bob is great, too. On the day you took the tour, a couple of our vendor partners had closed without notice, and I'm so sorry that the itinerary wasn't what was expected. Also, I would be very interested in hearing more specifics about the samples you received - the smoked salmon is indeed available free to the public, but we do pay for our samples and they are supposed to be more substantial for our guests. It's important to hear back from guests like you that that is not what is happening so we can follow up. As far as Piroshky Piroshky, we agree - they're amazing!
But unfortunately due to understaffing because of the pandemic they are no longer able to participate as a tour partner. So yes, we agree people should check them out on their own. Thanks again for taking the time, it is much appreciated!
