Was surprised that we did not go higher, thrill seeker that I am and a New Yorker who goes higher on top of the Empire State Building; but the view is what it was all about and the frequent dramatic fire blasts that get shot up into it. Love the captain!

Cynthia, we flew up to 3800 feet! The Empire State building is only 1250 feet tall. I know it doesn't feel as high in a hot air balloon because we travel with the wind and there is no motion in the basket. The captain loves you too!

It was nice however I was not impressed with their food selection at the end. Beef jerky and granola bars are not considered breakfast. The ride could have been longer and higher. But it was acceptable.

We used to provide bagels, cream cheese, and mixed fruit but then Covid-19 happened. The county of Riverside asked all balloon companies to stop serving food due to COVID. We don't want the champagne to go to your head so we came up with a compromise. We now offer an assortment of individually wrapped breakfast items to enjoy with your champagne. We have keto, paleo, vegan and gluten-free items. We also include a 15% discount to the elegant South Coast Winery Resort & Spa Vineyard Rose restaurant, for those who want a more substantial meal. It is the best discount in the valley, even winery workers only get a 10% discount. Most of our competitors have suspended food service altogether if you are comparing apples to apples. As a commercial pilot, who has been flying since 1987, I don't recommend selecting your balloon ride based on what food they provide. You should decide based on the quality of their equipment, skill, and experience level of their pilots, if they are promoted by the local chamber or visitor's bureau, and if they belong to organizations like the Professional Ride Operators division of the Balloon Federation of America - which requires them to operate with higher standards than other competitors. (Yes, we are members).
