Amazing tour to see the fabulous countryside of San Antonio & learn more about a piece of US History at the Lyndon B. Johnson Historical Site & Ranch. The guide, Gary, a rancher was very knowledgeable about all the stops and the fact that he was sharing some of his personal experiences made the day even more interesting. This tour is a must especially if you buy a Go city pass.

The ride into the Hill Country was very interesting. This is truly cattle country. It was too bad that the weather was overcast. We visited the boyhood home of LBJ & were even allowed to go inside; despite originally being told we could only walk around the outside. Then it was on to the TX White House. On the way to the House, we encountered real longhorn steer. One even came right up to the side of our van! It was huge. The TX While House was closed for renovations, but that was fine. From there we stopped in Fredericksburg, which is a lovely historical town. We ate at a place called The Auslander. It has authentic German food and absolutely delicious strudel. Then it was on to Lukenbachen. A real laid back place. This was an all day tour and worth the price of admission. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
