Rodeo Drive
The famed shopping street is known throughout the world as the epicenter of luxury fashion. Rodeo Drive stores span three city blocks where visitors can enjoy more than 100 world-renowned boutiques and hotels.
7
Santa Monica Pier
A popular spot for both the locals and the tourists. There are many attractions (e.g. the aquarium, a video game arcade or an iconic carousel) and also many places to get food. You can choose from a variety of cuisines – burgers, pizzas or seafood are all to be found there. The Pacific Park, an amusement park including a solar-powered Ferris wheel, is also a great place to visit. Among its other attractions are e.g. West Coaster, Bumper Cars or Mini Pirate Ship.
8
Venice Beach Boardwalk
You haven’t seen it all until you’ve seen Venice! There is a sandy three-mile beach here, but that is not what attracts visitors. You go to Venice to shop and gawk. During the summer season and on weekends, there is street entertainment at every intersection along Ocean Front Walk. Street performers include instrumental musicians, singers, jugglers, acrobats, mimes, comics, magicians, prophets, fortune tellers, and other assorted entertainers. You will see people with tricolor hairdos, painted faces, weird tattoos, and outlandish clothing–or lack of it. The Boardwalk is a virtual sidewalk circus, a walk ‘n’ rolling skin show. There are lots of funky shops, too, if you want to eat out of the ordinary or buy an unusual souvenir or T-shirt. There are courts for basketball, handball, shuffleboard and paddle tennis. Muscle Beach is a special area where fanatic bodybuilders pump iron in a public show of strength.

Joseph did a grand job of showing us the sights of LA on a whistlestop day tour from Anaheim as we only had a day to spare. Lots of great stops along the way, my favourites being the Farmer's Market, Rodeo Drive and Venice Beach. Joseph gave lots of interesting facts along the way and was really friendly. Would thoroughly recommend taking one of Best Coast Tours - a great small family business.

This was a really great way to get to see all the fun touristy parts of Los Angeles without having to drive, Park, read my own tour book, and plan it all out. Josh was a fantastic guide who provided lots of interesting information and remained friendly despite starting the day off with a touch of high-quality and unexpected Los Angeles traffic. Everyone had a really great time! There are enough activities that everyone got to have a favorite. And the all important bathroom stops are well-timed with well described locations. There were a couple comments that eating at the farmers market was a little pricey for lunch, but based on my experience with farmers markets the portions were huge and prices were a little lower than what I expected. The selection and the ambience of the farmers market is well worth the $15 lunch. Just make sure you plan to have some cash, a couple of the vendors only take cash. But, you were going to tip the driver anyway...right? The drive up through Mulholland was fun, and there was plenty of character at Venice Beach. I personally loved getting to see the Hollywood stars and the hand prints at Gorman‘s theater. These are things I never would have done on my own, but we’re super fun touristy activities. And what can I say, it is difficult to beat door to door service from my hotel and not having to drive an inch. Light snacks and cold water were provided throughout the tour. This is a fabulous way to visit multiple places efficiently with no stress and lots of comfort.

Joseph was a wonderful tour guide and driver through the craziness of LA traffic!! He presented great information in a fun manner. Our bus was very comfortable and the PA system allowed us all to hear him easily. We got a great overview of LA and especially loved the LA Farmer’s Market. We highly recommend this tour!!
