Enter the National Gallery of Art and follow your guide through one of America’s best collections of artwork produced by Renaissance artists, French Impressionists, and great American painters. See works from Claude Monet, Raphael, Gilbert Stuart, and Edgar Degas, as well as more modern artists like Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, and O’Keefe, as you learn what’s really behind the creation of some of these pieces. Your guide will lead the way through the halls of the museum, telling stories, and stopping at famous works of art. Some pieces you’ll see on this tour include “Ginevra de’Benci” by Leonardo da Vinci, “Self Portrait” by Vincent Van Gogh, and “Woman with a Parasol” by Claude Monet. Listen as your guide fills you in on the techniques behind some of the paintings, as well as some of the history and scandals that happened because of them. I cannot speak to the overall quality of Babylon Tours around the world , but I can speak to is Leigh Jameson (our tour guide in DC at the National Gallery) was literally as good as a study abroad Professor had I still been in college. I went to the National Gallery of Art to learn to appreciate more of the details, history, and intricacies of the masters, and Leigh helped take me there. Funny, charismatic, intelligent, and an excellent teacher I am literally going to call her for all future tours I do in DC because she is that good. Even though we were on a semi private tour with other people, it was so small it hardly felt like anyone was there besides me. Not every tour guide is capable of creating that kind of an atmosphere, and it was clear from all the random people trying to listen in on our tour we were having a much better experience than them trying to randomly put things together. Let me end by saying, I have no financial or business relationship with Bablyon Tours nor did I know Leigh before I showed up to the tour. I am must some random educated guy who is not educated about art, but wants to be so I went on a tour. No one is paying me write a good review, so the only reason I am writing it is because Leigh is so good at what she does I believe people that good at their job should be rewarded for what they do with a great review. Not everyone works that hard at their job, takes it that seriously, or prepares to gives great tours. I have been on a few of those. Just because you can speak to a subject does not make you a great guide. But Leigh is a great guide. Like any good class, you get out what you put in, so if you do take a tour with her, remember to ask questions, engage, and don't expect fireworks when you brought nothing to the show. If all of Babylon Tours are this good I will be doing a lot more. Hope you enjoy.

Our family of four had a great tour with Glennyce as our guide. There is so much to see and do in DC that having a guide really helps you get the most out of your time there. We wanted to see the highlights at the gallery and Glennyce was a wealth of knowledge. I didn't feel like she just had a memorized script but was rather able to answer many art related questions. Our two teenagers were not as interested as I would have liked and she did a great job keeping it as interesting as possible for all of us even with their sighs, etc. While it may not be a topic many kids are interested I still felt it was our responsibility as parents to expose them to art history, now if only we could get rid of their poor body language! Working on it...
