Well as they say… there are two sides to every story let’s fill in the blanks that Dan left out! (Updated over the past few days as Dan continues to throw curveballs!)
BOTTOMLINE— If Dan’s experience had really been so bad that I deserved this 1 star review why would Dan have booked another tour the next night!?
Dan Bair (& family) - this reservation was canceled and refunded moments after the booking went thru because the person who created the booking didn’t fill the form out properly. It was refunded at the moment it was canceled I’m not even sure what you mean by the “app” but Viator cancelled it and refunded it. I’m not sure when you looked at the cancellation and refund notice via Viator or when you understood that it was canceled because I am not there with Dan but I can see when the booking was created and when it canceled and refunded.
It would be nice if your review had reflected our tour and not your Viator “ticket experience”! Smh
Dan is a trip please feel free to read all this an form your own opinion lol I figured since Dan wants to place doubt in my guests minds I’ll explain the situation fully regarding Dans multiple reservations with us.
In events with customers doing nonsense like Dan did I honestly wouldn’t have even offered their group a tour at all because all this did was hurt my tour rating for absolutely no reason. #1 it isn’t a reflection of my tour and #2 it effects my family directly in a negative way FOR WHAT?? I work to support my family Dan so this makes me mad. If you had genuinely had a negative experience that was legitimately my fault I would have been busting my butt to fix it. I care about my business. I have my name and face all over, this is simply a way of showing good faith and this business and is how I put food in the table for my family. I have children that depend on me so I obviously take my job seriously. Nobody is perfect, I make mistakes but this is RIDICULOUS and it is uncalled for the fact of the matter is I haven’t gotten to weirdest part of Dan’s strange behavior regarding the booking process! If Dan’s experience had really been so bad that I deserved this 1 star review why would Dan have booked another tour the next night!!? Dan isn’t telling everyone the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Dan admitted that they booked the tour again for that night. That part was true! So obviously nobody would pay over $300 for a tour if they had such a terrible experience. But guess what … it gets weirder! After Dan wrote this joke of a review, Dan rebooked and then Dan Bair (& family) no showed the tour group for the tour last night so what gives? The tour guide has the correspondence with you. The guide had to contact Dan because Dan never showed to check in and instead of leaving without Dan and the other included in this reservation the tour guide contacted Dan to see if they were running late our what… Dan said we aren’t coming.
They said that they canceled earlier in the day however they had not - at least according to the Viator Supplier account they hadn’t not canceled.
We don’t “no show” our guests when tours operate. We have more sense than that! Are the holidays making you a Scrooge Dan or are you always this ridiculous hmmm…
Update: December 25 2022 — Dan has now canceled the second reservation for the tour that they booked and no showed / they didn’t check in and did not participate. They confirmed they weren’t coming when the guide contacted them the night of the tour at 7pm - they said we are not coming! They sent a refund request DAYS after the tour. This is an all sakes final booking. 100 % cancellation penalties apply this can be found on the TripAdvisor / Viator tour information listing in many different locations.

Customer booked the tour (purchased tickets) & no showed us. This tour operated and customer didn't show up the night of the tour.
The guide messaged the group asking if they were running late or needed help finding the meeting location and they responded they were not coming and they went on and on as if we had done something wrong but we were there waiting and they no showed us! We can provide all documentation proving the tour operated at the scheduled time and place! We also had guests who will confirm that the tour operated and that they participated in it. This is a non refundable booking no refunds - 100% cancellation penalties incurred

When a guest purchases a ticket / tickets they are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. All sales are final and incur 100% cancellation penalties.
You will notice when refunds are offered it is for a reason. When we are unable to complete a booking due to a guest incorrectly filling out a form we will issue a refund. If we cancel a reservation we will absolutely refund it or a guest can reschedule if they would like. However a non refundable ticket is obviously not going to be refunded (the day of the reservation especially) this can be found on the website repeatedly. We do have refundable tours. We also have non refundable tours. All this information can be located on the listing at the top and in multiple various locations including the tickets and vouchers as well. There’s no fine print. It’s largely, repeatedly visible for guests to read and understand.
In a nutshell some people cannot be pleased. I would much rather a customer make a reservation and enjoy their tour but I realize I cannot please the entire world. 🥲
With that being said I appreciate our guests and hope everyone has a great 2023!!
