What To Expect

Hollywood Sign

We will go all the way to the very top behind the Hollywood Sign and get incredible panoramic views of the Los Angeles and The San Fernando Valley. Additionally, we will get pictures in front of the Sign at my super awesome (and secret) photo spots.

Griffith Observatory

This is one of the legendary landmarks in Griffith Park. It appeared in several movies. Notably: Rebel Without a Cause (1955); The Terminator (1984); La La Land (2016).

Griffith Park

Enter the largest municipal park in Los Angeles (3x the size of NYC's Central Park). We spend the entire time inside of Griffith Park!

Hollywood

From the top we will be able to see the famous Hollywood Skyline including The Capitol Records Building and the Roosevelt Hotel!

Downtown

We'll see the famous Downtown Los Angeles Skyline from the top of the Hollywood Sign including the U.S. Bank Building, the Korean Air building (tallest building in Los Angeles) and many others.

Burbank

We'll see the beautiful San Fernando Valley including Burbank and the San Gabriel Mountains!

Hiking the Hollywood Sign was very intense and tiring, but the experience and the views you get when you are up there were worthed. Highly recommended for those that seek a different type of tourism!

Firstly, THANK YOU JOE! we had an amazing day. Myself & 4 other colleagues decided to do this tour while we had some free time in LA. Unfortunately our Uber went the wrong way and we were going to be late to the meeting point so we got in touch with joe and let him know and he very kindly offered to wait or send us a new address to meet him which would be 5 minutes into the walk. When we met joe and the group at the new address he was so kind and welcoming! Immediately we were all happy! He offered us bottled water and took our empties off us. He straight away got to know us and ask us questions to get us involved.. The whole way up he gave lots of information about different locations along the way. He took loads of amazing photos and took so much time to make sure we were all happy with them. He made sure to have a chance to speak with each person individually and made such an effort with everyone. Very interesting person and VERY funny too. At the top of the sign he gave everyone as much time as they needed to take in the outstanding views and get loads of amazing pictures. On the way back down he gave lots of recommendations to each person who wanted to go somewhere afterwards. He recommended a beautiful restaurant in Beverly Hills for us to have lunch and well deserved drinks and we were so impressed it was perfect! All in all we had a brilliant day and don’t regret any part of our decision to do our walking tour with Hollywood hikes! Joe is an absolute credit and couldn’t recommend this day enough to anybody! Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness! Thanks again Joe, Love TEAM IRELAND PS. the only thing you need to improve is your Irish accent haha..

I came to LA on business for a few days and not much of a touristy person, but the one thing I wanted to do during my visit was to walk up and have a photo next to the ICONIC Hollywood sign. I did some research and went with Joe as the cost was very reasonable, yeah slightly hesitant I must admit at first as you’d expect a stereotypical tourist guide, but he was anything but! You felt you were going on a hike with your buddy as he was so down to earth, approachable and made me feel very welcome. He’s absolutely brimming with knowledge about the sign, LA so ask him anything he will tell you why? Because he’s REAL & GENUINE! Amongst his amazing skill-set is photography and so I have some outstanding photos and memories of that day that I’ll never forget. So, if you’re looking for a trip to the 8th wonder of the world and gain some fantastic memories, then please go with this guy as you will not be disappointed!
