What To Expect
1
Frenchmen Street
The locals Bourbon Street and epicenter of the New Orleans live music scene
2
St. Louis Cemetery No. 3
We stop to see the last and oldest of the St. Louis cemeteries to hear about the burial process of the deceased New Orleanians; it's an interesting story for sure. We do not give a tour of the cemetery; this is just a brief stop to hear stories as well as a photo op and opportunity for a short stroll among the tombs.
3
City Park
We usually stop for begneits and coffee at Cafe' du Monde if the lines aren't too long. If it's peak season, we usually make our break at one of the local coffee shops on the route. We ride through a thousand year Live Oak tree grove and stop to hear stories about duels and tragedy's that took place in this majestic setting. Upon departure from the park we cross over Bayou St. John via 'Magnolia Bridge' before heading to Treme'.
4
Bayou St. John
The tour crosses Bayou St. John via 'Magnolia Bridge' and rides along the bayou for a while before turning into the neighborhood of the same name. We stop on the Live Oak tree lined Ursuline Avenue for another history lesson in a beautiful setting.
5
Treme
Into the Treme' we ride. Unlike many other tours, we take our riders deep into Treme' showing you the true version of the neighborhood that isn't depicted on popular shows produced by Hollywood. Since we're from New Orleans, we've got a lot of friends in the neighborhood; you'll be greeted with smiles, waives and a "hey baby" as we roll on to Armstrong Park & Congo Square.
6
Louis Armstrong Park
A ride through Louis Armstrong Park let's us know that we're almost finished with the best bike tour in the city. A peaceful ride along the fountain filled ponds and tree-lined path takes us to our final stop in Congo Square.
7
Congo Square
This is last stop on the tour, it's where it all comes together. This last stop is the birthplace of Jazz Music and the origins of Jazz Fest.
8
New Orleans
There are several other sights and a couple of more stops that can't be listed on this Trip Advisor description since they are not in the available choices for attractions.

Low value for money. Doing a tour with bikes has huge potential and is a great way to experience the city and itā€˜s highlights. Particularly in a small group like ours. However, being a non-native english speaker it was almost impossible to follow the guideā€™s explanations. When asking to speak slower the answer was that it was already as slow as he could manage cause he is from the South. Even the native speakers in our group couldnā€˜t follow everything. Iā€™d also wish a bit more empathy and entousiasm from the guide, it did feel as if he did not want to be there at all. That might be different from day to day. In that sense we got a bad one. The tour was supposed to last 3 full hours and only lasted less than 2,5h. Overall, the tour allows you to see a large part of the city, which we may have not covered by ourselves going by foot. Having said this, the information received was rather superficial, example: barely pointing at Degasā€˜ home without spending at least few minutes giving any background info about it. In summary, Iā€™d chose another bike tour company when doing a tour first time as it seems it was more of a must do for the provider rather than a passion to show people their city.

Hello Marcus, It's unfortunate that you perceived our tour as 'low value for the money.' It must've been a pretty terrible tour to prompt you to create a TripAdvisor account and leave your first and only review on the platform. As a self-described, 'non-native English speaker', your written English is surprisingly good and fairly polished - which is somewhat peculiar. Being that you received the same tour as our other guests through the years, most of whom rated the tour 5-Stars, it's perplexing to us how your perception of the presentation was superficial. Regarding Degas' family home, the info that you received is what we cover as our tour is not a tour of Degas' family home; there is an in depth tour of the home run by their foundation available to you. Regarding time - the tour time is listed as 2.5 to 3 hours; the time difference is dependent on the number of riders, riding ability and speed of the group and a few other factors. Sometimes the ride can be as short as 2 hour if the tour is less than half-full. In summary, since we didn't meet your expectations - we hope that your next tour on your next trip meets your expectations so that you can be as motivated to leave a second review on your new TripAdvisor account as you were to write your one and only platform review for FreeWheelin'. Happy trails & safe travels, Ryan Bergeron Owner - FreeWheelin' Bike Tours

Teddy did a great job riding us all over the city -- the very best way to experience any city. He is a native, shared all of his NOLA knowledge and made it well worth our time. A great way to start a long weekend in New Orleans!
