Peter Cellars
Peter Cellars embodies the charm of Sonoma Valley wine tasting. This boutique estate winery produces award-winning varietals under the watchful eye of winemaker Peter Mauel. He combines the unique terroir and fruit characteristics of the famous Carneros appellation with old-world French winemaking techniques. Peter grew up in the United Kingdom and honed his skills in Burgundy and Bordeaux before studying at UC Davis.

Homewood Winery
Homewood Winery is a true down-home experience. Itā€™s a quaint and friendly micro-winery nestled in the heart of the Carneros region, producing about 1000 cases each year. With luck, youā€™ll get to meet the owner, Dave, and hear about his passion for the vine and how he learned and grew within the industry from simple home winemaker to cellar proprietor to produce his beloved wines.

We did the Perfect Blend tour. This was a good introduction to wine tasting. Our tour guide Ruben was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He gave a wonderful summary of the history of San Francisco and the history of wine making in Napa and Sonoma. He made an extra stop at the Palace of Fine Arts, which was a bonus. The focus of this tour was small wineries. The first two wineries were in Sonoma. Lunch was at the Oxbow Public Market in the town of Napa; there were a variety of restaurants and eateries to choose from. We went in December on a week day so it wasn't crowded, so no lines or long waits. The last winery was in Napa. We took our time here and this was perfect since we were allowed to walk around the vineyard and enjoy a lazy afternoon sipping wine on the porch overlooking the gorgeous scenery. Ruben was fantastic and even gave us some recommendations for wineries if we decide to take our wine tasting experience to the next level in the future. Overall, a great tour. Ruben did an awesome job. I highly recommend this tour.

Stories about winemaking were the most interesting part of the tour. Wine tasting was ok. The weather was very nice, too

Thanks for taking your time to leave us a positive review. Winemaking styles can vary quite a bit and it is always interesting to us to learn the process----an educational aspect of any good wine tour. Visiting in the Autumn/ post-harvest brings some gorgeous, mild weather in an otherwise hot Mediterranean Climate zone. As for the wines, we hope you found a few favorites. Travel well!

My tour to wine country with Green Dream Tours was very enjoyable overall. I bought wines at two of the three vineyards we visited; the second stop - well, the owner really seemed to be annoyed that we were there. The tour guide, Jim, was personable but not intrusive. He drove safely, but still got us where we needed to be on time. The lunch stop in Napa was fine; it would be nice if lunch could perhaps be arranged to be had at one of the wineries, rather than just in town on your own. I would recommend this tour.

Hello Tracy. Thanks for your insights of the Perfect Blend wine tour. It's great to hear about your support of the small wineries that we visit. Sorry if one of the hosts wasn't accommodating--he is a one-man show and maybe preoccupied with working the 2022 harvest. As for the lunch spot in Napa, most of our guests love the variety of 8-10 farm-to-table local restaurants. Arranging regular lunches at wineries isn't logistically possible, as less than 5% of wineries produce food and very few are legally allowed to have food on premises. If such a day is your preference, feel free to book a private wine tour, where we could customize such a day for you! We do lunches at certain wineries, budget depending. Cheers!
