The tour begins with a ritual and if you don't feel comfortable with this hang in there as the tour is extremely informative. Tom has a great personality and KNOWS HIS HISTORY. Tom also has a great sense of humour which he incorporates into his talk and if you've ever wondered about what it really means when someone refers to their profession as a witch, then this talk will provide you with an accurate, informative and historical background to this profession. Thanks Tom, we enjoyed it.

On our way back to our car we decided last minute to take this tour. We went on the 7pm tour with Sarah and had a great time. We started with a circle at the Crow Haven and Lorelei. Sarah was very informative about the locations and witches. It was a great tour with stops at a few cool shops that we had missed walking around. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We found this tour to be pretty silly. I did enjoy seeing the memorial to those killed because of the witch trials in 1692 and learning a bit more about the trials. The rest seemed to be just stuff created to entertain tourists.

Would you say that Judaism or Catholicism was created to "entertain tourists?" The Salem Witch Walk is clearly not about the Salem Witch Trials (though, being in Salem, we do touch on it, naturally) but about the modern Witches live here now. Witchcraft is recognized in the United States as a legitimate religion (Dittmer v Landon (617 F Supp 592), 1985) and is also America's fastest growing religion. We explore these things on the Salem Witch Walk because this is our way of life. Sure, we hope that people are entertained while learning about who we are, but we also hope they are educated as well. For those looking for the history of the trials, we recommend Jim McAllister at Derby Square Tours, but to come on a tour clearly about modern Witches only to bash our entire religion as merely the product of entertainment is deeply offensive to our way of life. We invite those with an open mind to join us on the tour, participate in the magic, and learn what REAL Witches are all about. Sure, we can be quite entertaining, but you'll also learn to transform your life as well! :) Blessings, Christian Day
