First off, our tour group was so large that they split the 7:00 Saturday tour into 2 groups. We got lucky with being assigned to Tom's group. The hassle of having to maneuver jam-packed streets of other Halloween fun-seekers was diminished by Tom's informative knowledge of witch history and practice as well as Salem's history. He also kept things entertaining with his humorous and slightly quirky mannerisms. One thing I would suggest for future tours would be to have the tour guide carry something that can be noticed by the group in the dark to keep them on course to where they are to follow, as even the split group was so large it was hard to ensure we were following in the correct direction as the streets were overflowing with other revelers and tour groups.

My girlfriend identifies herself as a witch and was interested in learning more about the history of witches themselves. This was sort of a last minute decision and we saw that the average reviews on Trip Advisor were good so we got tickets for the 9pm tour. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and great but she was a little scattered and it was hard to keep track of everything since she kept going back and forth between her information. We ended up leaving half way through since we took the "Salem Night Tour" the night before and realized we were essentially stopping at the same places again but instead of learning about ghosts, we were learning about witchy facts. My girlfriend was disappointed since she thought it was going to be a little more interesting and informational but it was very basic and boring. I was more disappointed that we were seeing the same spots again.

Great and informative tour thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of Tom the tour guide! He had a great down-to-earth attitude, interacted with individual members of the crowd (making the group feel smaller than it really was), read the crowd well, and provided information that was accessible, humorous, and (most importantly) understandable to people unfamiliar with magick and ritual. Very educational! The tour included a bit about Salem's maritime history, the tragedy of the witch trials, and witchcraft past and present. We had walked a significant distance before the tour started and I was worried about the kids with my group being exhausted--but Tom's attitude quickly started pulling smiles out of them and his tour was one of the things the girls talked about most.
