We did like Sheri, tour guide. I would suggest asking exactly what you will be eating. We did not have much food, quite disappointing.
We shared 1/2 of a potato sandwich(lots of bread. I dug through as I wanted to taste inside. Then what was called a charcuterie board, slices of 2 different types of ham, really! Not a cracker, cheese. And we had to split a pineapple drink, really? split, was awkward.
Then Korean chicken wings, she dug in and ate too. I had 1 1/2, too spicy for me. They had 3 each. She took out of her bag a bottle of warm seltzer water to give us. Really? We stopped by a provision type store, given 5 minutes there, really? We would have bought some different types of stuff given time.
It did say bring bottle water, but it was warm out, it would have been warm too. Then 2 small scoops ice cream(best part). We were not happy at all, passing by many other tasty looking places. For almost $100 each we should have been equal to a full meal!
Go to Kerns neighborhood yourself, stop where you want. For $200. bucks 2 of you will eat like kings and taste a wide variety of foods, plus buy drinks. There wasnāt much info given or table saved, nothing special. She went up ordered like any other customer. She took out paper plates from her bag to eat off of.
I did request a partial refund, to be told she doesnāt offer. Lol We just felt for the amount of food, it was a rip off.

Hello Gail,
I am sorry you and Jesse did not enjoy the food offerings on the Vibrant Kerns Hood tour.
I do my best to accurately describe what the tour will entail, including links to the restaurants we visit from my website, so people can get research further, if they are inclined.
I also answered your additional questions about the tour details in the half dozen or so emails and phone calls prior to the tour. As well as during the introduction, I set the expectation of how many stops guests eat at (5) and explain each stop guests have a half portion, which amounts to a heavy lunch by the end.
The food tour is fashioned after a dozen or so other food tours I have been a guest on. And the experience is very compatible with others, in terms of quantity of food serves, number of stops visited, how many drinks are provided, how much history and stories are told, cost, etc.
I realize that this was your first food tour and I am sorry what you experienced did not live up to your expectations of what a food tour should be.
