Thundering Streams and Falls of the Smokies Guided Hiking Tour

Overview
**All participants will be required to wear a mask for any instances where close contact cannot be avoided and in any Park building. Please bring your own masks and hand sanitizer. You will also be asked to sign an acknowledgement of risks and report any illness within 14 days of tour.**
With 3100 miles of streams in the Smokies, there are thousands of beautiful stretches of white water. Adventure awaits as you explore the magic of pristine cascades and waterfalls on a little known trail. We'll warm up on a more popular trail, pausing to enjoy smaller cascades before turning onto a less traveled section of the Park. In the winter, we'll enjoy beautiful glimpses of the surrounding mountains, during the spring we'll pause to enjoy our famous wildflower display, summer brings refreshing swimming holes and in autumn the beauty of changing leaves. This hike is considered moderately adventurous as we gain elevation, climb over downed trees and get our feet wet.

Our tour guide Mike was very good, informative and entertaining while providing every little detail about the hike. This was our first hike in Smokies and I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone who is looking to get their feet wet in Smokies.

This him with our phenomenal guide Ken and his partner in training Beth was a beautiful hike. The terrain at times were a bit challenging with mostly rocks and some roots, but if you wear hiking boots or shoes itā€™s fine. Loved the Mountain streams and the colors were starting to show up in trees. It was a perfect Fall hike. Ken provided a lot of information and love of nature!! Give this hike a try!!

This is not for those who have medical conditions even though this was told and written on forms The guide only catered to the ones who were hikers and totally ignored us!!!! Instead of helping us to make sure we did not fall or lag behind-he didnā€™t check on us. It was a hike to hell as only our determination carried us back!!!!!

Hi Aneeta, We received your review through our booking system and are so very sorry you were dissatisfied with the tour. If you had posted any health restrictions through Viator, unfortunately, those did not come through to us here at A Walk in the Woods. This tour is advertised as not suitable for those with 'back problems', 'expectant mothers' and those with 'serious medical issues'. We also recommend a moderate fitness level for this tour. We understand the gentlemen in your group did have a good time with the guide, but we are going to refund you in full for this tour, nonetheless. We sincerely apologize for your frustrations. Your guide was upset that he wasn't able to get the whole group up the trail and did express that to me when he came back from this hike. He was genuinely worried that you didn't get the experience you wanted. I will notify Viator to get your refund processed as soon as possible. If you would like to give us a call to chat about your experience, we are in the office 7 days a week from 9am-5pm EST. Our number is 865-436-8283 or you can email us directly at [email protected]. I would be happy to listen. Thank you, Patricia
