Thundering Streams and Falls of the Smokies Guided Hiking Tour

Overview
With 3100 miles of streams in the Smokies, there are thousands of beautiful stretches of white water. Adventure awaits as you explore the magic of pristine cascades and waterfalls on a little-known trail. We'll warm up on a more popular trail, pausing to enjoy smaller cascades before turning onto a less traveled section of the Park. In the winter, we'll enjoy beautiful glimpses of the surrounding mountains, during the spring we'll pause to enjoy our famous wildflower display, summer brings refreshing swimming holes, and in autumn the beauty of changing leaves. This hike is considered moderately adventurous as we gain elevation, climb over downed trees and get our feet wet. **Please note: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park will require parking tags for any vehicle stopping longer than 15 minutes.

Mike was our guide and he was great! He took us to a place where the kids were able to jump and have a little cold swim LOL. We were very satisfied with Mike.

Man, I am so glad I did this! We hike the parks at home (Arkansas) frequently, but I didn’t want to venture into unfamiliar terrain by myself. So, going on a guided hike was the answer... and Dylan was a fantastic guide! We started out on the Chimney Tops but took a left a ways in to a less-traveled trail. The reward for going the more rugged route was a waterfall and creek that was completely secluded! It was so incredibly beautiful! The rhododendrons were in full bloom creating flower-strewn paths everywhere... and at one of the creeks, I actually could see the smoky mist that gives the area it’s name hanging in the air. All along the way, Dylan shared his in-depth knowledge of the park with me... things about its history and the flora and fauna. I definitely learned a lot on my hike today, too, which I think is super cool! He was also very gracious about maintaining a pace that I could keep up with, and I appreciated that! Being in the woods near creeks and waterfalls is my happy place... and between the intense beauty of the park itself and having a guide with such an obvious appreciation for the park and so much knowledge about it made this hike absolutely perfect! Thank you!

I loved our guide, Mike. He was so knowledgeable and I learned so much from him during the 3 hour hike! I love everything about the forests and mountains and couldn’t have been happier with the hike.
