Thundering Streams and Falls of the Smokies Guided Hiking Tour

Overview
**All participants will be required to wear a mask for any instances where close contact cannot be avoided and in any Park building. Please bring your own masks and hand sanitizer. You will also be asked to sign an acknowledgement of risks and report any illness within 14 days of tour.**
With 3100 miles of streams in the Smokies, there are thousands of beautiful stretches of white water. Adventure awaits as you explore the magic of pristine cascades and waterfalls on a little known trail. We'll warm up on a more popular trail, pausing to enjoy smaller cascades before turning onto a less traveled section of the Park. In the winter, we'll enjoy beautiful glimpses of the surrounding mountains, during the spring we'll pause to enjoy our famous wildflower display, summer brings refreshing swimming holes and in autumn the beauty of changing leaves. This hike is considered moderately adventurous as we gain elevation, climb over downed trees and get our feet wet.

Beautiful country, excellent guide and group we were with. Recommend walking sticks if over 50. The guide graciously shared hers with me for the trip coming down. Parking was confusing for us. No direction was given and so we parked at one of the pay to park lots near the meeting point only to find out we needed to drive farther into the Smokies to start the hike. Park at the GOC and wait for your guide.

Guide was knowledgeable but seems expensive for to hike a pretty common trail. Especially for a family of 4. This is not an easy hike. We had an elderly gentleman in our group that struggled and made the return walk really long and slow.

Hi There, Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate it. Guided hikes are a group activity and sometimes paces don't align perfectly. That can be frustrating. Please reach out to us in the future for information on our 'private' option. This way your whole family will get to hike at a pace that is enjoyable to your group. Also, if you choose to hike with us again, give us a call and we can direct you to hikes that are a bit more off the beaten path. :-) Booking third party can, sometimes, be a bit more expensive than booking directly through us as everyone has to get their commissions (and nothing is getting cheaper these days). I apologize you feel it was a bit too pricey, but we do really try to provide a great service while paying our guides a living wage. Thank you, Patricia
