Knowledgable guide and good 'base' at restaurant v good. Only downside was long wait at border to get back into US - outside of tour control but the possibility of being v late back should be mentioned up front.

Pretty disappointing trip and here are the reasons why:
1) Waited 30 mins longer at the collection point owing to the driver being unfamiliar with the area
2) Took an additional 30 mins to collect others due to the driver being unfamiliar with the area - spent much of the time on the phone presumably to the office trying to get directions
3) PA system on the coach not the easiest to hear
4) Thought we were supposed to be experiencing making tacos, but restaurant only keen to get additional orders for drinks
5) Pretty intimidated by Mexicans pulling you into their shops
6) Pretty tatty shops
7) Coach late back for collection
8) Nearly an hour just to get across the border again.

Good to tick the box to say you have been to Mexico, but on balance, not worth the effort.

Fantastic tour. Driver excellent-he told us lots of interesting facts- didn't waffle too much! Also knew which border crossing to use meaning it only took 15mins to re-enter USA. We had heard stories of people taking hours to cross on other tours. Perfect length of tour, had time to shop and sample some Mexican food.
Went with husband and 12, 14 and 16 year old girls who loved it too.
