We were astounded by the terrific tour that our group of 6 received for a total of $222 + tip. Our guide Alex, a long-time Tijuana resident, helped us see that the city doesn't deserve its sketchy reputation. In addition to touring the vibrant downtown area, we learned about the city's history, ate some terrific authentic Mexican food, sampled some great Tequila and locally-brewed beer (all of which were, as advertised, not included in the tour price), while being steered clear of the parts of town that are less safe for tourists. Alex was quite responsive to our questions and preferences, and extremely helpful with translation when needed, resulting in a most enjoyable and enlightening first-time visit to Tijuana.

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TOUR TIJUANA. Our tour group was nervous about the visit but the only sketchy part was the McDonald's on the US side. They will ask you to come across & meet them on the Mexican side. This my cause concern but don’t fret your guide should be waiting on the other side. I’d 100% recommend Border Tours. Our guide, Gregorio (aka 6’6) was amazing! He was knowledgeable, funny & made us all feel at ease. Nothing but a good time!!!
