This is 3rd Titanic exabit that I visited ( previous were in Seattle and NYC). I had a good idea what to expect:
you get a card with the assigned passenger name, you see some dishes and read stories and at the end you see if the person you were given survived or not.
This exhibit was different. What was memorable for me:
- dressed up performers tell about their stories ( lady in the music room, you were amazing and super knowledgeable)
- instead of the room w/the iceberg, this exhibit brings you outside of the control room.... the air is the same temperature as in that day, the water is the same temperature ( hold your hand for 5-10 seconds to get a real feel how cold water is)
-In the last room, there was a 90 years old diver that was one of the first people to see the titanic under the ocean.... man he is great! Kids were awed, parents enjoyed it as well. Of cause, gentleman is there to promote his book ( great sales pitch!) that you can purchase in the gift shop for $15.
All in all, I would recommend you to visit the museum when you are in Pigeon Forge.
