This museum offers an exceptional experience. I am a museum professional, and LOVE visiting historical institutions whenever possible. Oftentimes, my family just begrudgingly tolerates my enthusiasm for all things historical. With a husband, 7 year old, and a teenager, it is not often that we find a museum that successfully engages all of us…but the Titanic Museum managed to do just that.
The audio tour was fantastic. My 7 year old LOVED the kids tour, my teenager worked quickly and did both the child and adult audio tours, and my husband and I were able to listen and explore without two bored children.
The only thing that I didn’t love was the amount of focus that was given to Anne & Otto Frank, despite their personal ties to the Titanic being not especially significant. The relationship between these historic entities felt a bit forced, and I would have much preferred to learn the stories of other Jewish passengers.
This museum is 100% worth visiting. I highly recommend it for couples, families, and individuals.
