I got to the titanic site and was told to go to a area ( before going in) and asked to look up and then look straight ahead (which made me feel like I was getting a mug shot ) for a if I wanted a picture of me boarding the Titanic which I found very very intrusive upon my likeness and feel this should be optional to customers. How do I know what will be done with my picture. Then I ask a question and got a abrupt response it was hard being able to view and read the items because there were so many people huddled around the artifacts standing around instead of moving around to let other people view the artifacts. I smelled sulfur, sea water and just old stale smell believe it or not I was so glad to be on the deck because it was so hot in the museum. Then leaving a worker was hovering over my shoulder in the gift shop which made me feel very uncomfortable. Overall between the rudeness, the smell, the lack of original artifact, and the hovering I was sadly disappointed.

This was a fabulous exhibit. At first I thought it may lack authentic history or be more of a tourist trap since it is in the middle of a play land in the Smokies. We were all assigned a passenger's name at the beginning of the tour, and at the end we were able to see if we "survived" or not. So, we were pleasantly surprised how informative and well done the interesting history was displayed and explained. I did not know about some stories (there are so many) and we could have stayed longer, except we were limited in time. One of the most interesting physical experiences was stepping out on the 'deck' of the ship with the actual temperature of the air and water the evening it sunk. Very cold..poor people, such a tragedy.

I visited the Titanic Museum with a large group and we had a guided tour that was wonderful! The guide was very knowledgeable and committed to preserving the history and stories of the people aboard the Titanic. The museum is beautiful and each area flows into the next. Thank you for an informative and interesting visit!
