I though the museum was mostly well-done. It isn't that big, though, and I was able to get through it in less than 90 minutes. If you read every single thing, and listen to the entire audio guide, it will take you longer.
I liked the recreations of different areas of the ship - I wish there had been more! Being able to walk on the Grand Staircase was neat and definitely a highlight. If you are a stickler for accuracy, it doesn't quite ring true. Still, it was neat. There are also cutaway models showing the inside of the ship and artifacts like dishes and pieces of the main staircase. They also have water that you can place your hand in to see how cold the ocean was that night. That was very effective; I had never been able to visualize how cold it actually was.
The first half/three-quarters was definitely better, at least for me. It seemed to somewhat run out of steam towards the end. I would not recommend this museum for kids, unless they are absolutely fanatical about Titanic. Otherwise, I think they'd find most of it boring. There is a decent amount of reading, so be prepared.
I'm glad I went, and it was a good way to spend a morning.
