We had such a great time at Toa Luau! The people were super nice and friendly. The activities before the show were educational but fun. My kids really enjoyed them also. The food was great. The show was awesome and the host was so funny. They worked for 4 hours straight greeting us, teaching us, serving us and entertaining us and were still very open to taking pictures and talking after. Super family activity. Would recommend it to everyone! This luau also includes a tour of botannical gardens and walk to a waterfall where you can swim at the base. My only criticism is with viator because the time said departure time so we thought we had to travel some where which you didn't. It should say check time. Another criticism with viator was that we didn't know that the botannical gardens and waterfall could happen before out luau so we are going to go back today since it was 9 p.m. when our luau was done and we couldn't do it after. All in all though, this was a wonderful experience and we would go back again.

I’ve tried to write and post this review multiple times but it keeps disappearing on me. However this luau experience was so great that I am determined to let other people know about it!! The Toa Luau was fun for our entire group of 10. I loved the pre-luau activities, it’s possible I am a pro with poi balls now and peeling taro is hard work. The setting was beautiful and the luau and program was held in a covered area covered in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. We were lucky and had great weather (One note: you may want to pack some bug repellant if you are prone to mosquito bites). The luau includes entrance to the falls and park so if you go early you can walk around and take a dip in the falls. The thing I liked most about the luau aside didn’t the food, was that being there you were made to feel like family. Our host Cousin Billy made it a point to come and greet each table and find out more about each party at the event. Additionally the people who put the luau together are actually family so each person is welcomed in as part of the larger ohana. I’ve been to many luaus over the years and this one may be my favorite of the bunch. Felt less touristy and more like a backyard family party…with a family that cooks really well. Highly recommend and I’d definitely go back.

An absolutely joyful experience. When researching luaus, I was very conscious about the cheap hotel luau that serves mediocre food and a short performance. I was a little apprehensive about the price of Tao Luau but the reviews insured that it was not just a cheap knockoff so I took the plunge. Tao Luau EXCEEDED my expectations. Not only was the meal the best food I had in my one week trip to Hawaii, the performances widely represented the Polynesian culture while also contextualizing their importance in those individual countries. It only further impressed me that the host for the night, "Uncle Jack", admitted to studying these various cultures in college. Where else can you be entertained, well-fed, and educated in one night? This was my girlfriend's first luau and I wanted to make sure it was at least a good one. Not only was it just good, it was perfect and an unforgettable experience that sets the bar extremely high for any future luaus we might attend in the future. I highly recommend getting the Gold or above seats. You don't want to miss a single moment.
