People love this tour because you will be visiting as friends! From private VIP backstage to sampling, its all included!

I will be showing you real life working stills and getting behind the scenes where people can't go. You will be treated as VIP guests at all the locations we visit.

During our walk we will have a couple of stopping points where we will go over the fun (NOT DRY) history and tidbits of moonshine and of course talk about "how the old-timers did it".

This tour will be action packed for the full 3 hours you are with me with the goal of trying different wines and over 15 different flavors of all proofs and even a moonshine cocktail!

What To Expect

Tennessee Shine Company - Gatlinburg

Here we we will have an amazing tasting from flavors that will run from 35 proof cream based all the way to 135 proof 'off the still' moonshine.

Little Bear Winery

After a short walk, we go to an AMAZING winery where you will have a true VIP experience and sample many different types of wine.

Sugarlands Distilling Company

Our last stop will feature an exclusive to our tour behind the scenes tour of a working distillery from a knowledgeable guide. If that isn't good enough we will also give our guests the opportunity to sample actual moonshine cocktails. After that, we will be doing our last moonshine flight tasting. Its an experience not to be missed

Like all other places in Gatlinburg it is mostly overpriced but it doesn't take away from the deliciousness

Thank you for your "review". I am glad you liked the tastings however I would push back a bit not just for myself but for Gatlinburg as a whole. My tour is far more then just tastings. You can do tastings on your own. We provide an entire experience with scheduled backstage tours and specialty cocktails along with tastings you will not get off of the street. In regards to Gatlinburg, I have traveled all over the world and with the exception of Thailand I think Gatlinburg is a wonderful place to visit on a budget. Definitely one of the best in the US with a wide variety of things to do for all ages. With high end cabins that sleep your entire family for around $200-$400 a night to tours like mine for under $50 that include 3 hours of jam packed fun, included cocktails, not 1 but 2 experienced local guides and much more. As someone who has been ripped off in almost every island in the Caribbean or paid $15 for a drink in Miami, I highly recommend not only my tour but also the area.

Jessica was a Hoot! Talked really fast but a lot of fun!!! They are all really nice in there! I would highly recommend when visiting the area.

Mike's Moonshine/Whiskey Walking Tour (along with his wife Jen) met or exceeded my expectations. They definitely know the history and different types of moonshine. Sample tasting cups at the 3 facilities may be small but ... there's plenty to drink. Mike will always warn you before the server provides high proof moonshine. Yeah, you can probably do some research and visit the moonshine places yourself but I found Mike's knowledge and passion of moonshine to be lots of fun, not to mention behind the scene tours at 2 of the facilities, discounts on any purchases (to bring home) at each facility, and the comradery of Mike's tour. An added plus is that Mike provided all of us (at his cost) with a special wristband at Sugarlands Distilling Company that entitled us to an additional cocktail (i.e., mixed drink) at the end of the tour.
