Overview

Experience the highlights of Astoria with our guided tour! Our guided transportation tour offers an overview of the town, providing insight into its rich history, famous landmarks, historic homes, and movie scenes. We'll also show you the best shops, restaurants, and upcoming events, and recommend eateries, museums, and additional tours to explore. Additionally, we provide pamphlets with in-depth details to satisfy your curiosity. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, allowing you to thoroughly indulge your interests.

Our pickup time is 9 AM, unless it's a cruise day. On cruise days, we pick up one hour after the ship docks. I will make sure to send a text the day before and when I'm on my way. Pickup times may vary and could be after 10 AM, depending on the number of places we need to pick up from, as Onward Adventures picks up from multiple locations.

Astoria Column

At this 125-foot Column, you will see the fantastic views, listen to the history, smell the coastal air, and take in the challenge of climbing the stairs. People leave this place feeling light, breathing in the accomplishments of yesterday's and today's challenges.

Flavel House Museum

Walk the grounds, see the carriage house and maybe visit the inside of the home.

Oregon Film Museum

Get your photo taken with the Goonies jeep, visit the guest store for your favorite Goonie collection

Fort Astoria

see the Fort read the history, see a Rhododendron tree over 100 years old

Goonies House

Walk up the street to Mikey's house, take a photo

Hanthorn Cannery Museum

Watch the ships, sunsets, and sea lions at the 147 year old Hanthorn Cannery, on the Columbia River. Walk through the free Museum, Visit Vineside Wine Bar, Coffee Girl, Rogue Brewery and some fun shops with lots of Goonie Gear.

This is the BEST tour I’ve ever been on in a port! Katie and Bill were so accommodating and knowledgeable! We had so much fun and I felt like I had known Katie for years! We saw so many things!

This is a somewhat new tour company, but believe me, the tour is fantastic. Bill and Katie are local people. They took us thru the normal tourist attractions, but in addition they introduced the group to the areas that other tours were not offering. This includes the best restaurants that are local. (Clam chowder (not included in price) was excellent.) We met some of the locals, as well as getting acquainted with the unique history of the area that dates back to the civil war. The fort used during the wars to defend our shore was very interesting. We also enjoyed driving out to view an actual ship wreck that was washed up on the shore. Walking on the Jedi was pretty cool. This couple are truly knowledgeable, and we’re very open to listening to our questions and interests. This was a fun, great tour of Astoria!

Very personable, flexible guide and the driver was exceptional! Flexible on time spent at each stop, ran over the 2 hour time. Enjoyed the tour, learned a lot about Astoria. Enjoyed the Astoria Tower and launching the balsa planes from the top!
