Tour guide (ā€˜Deborah Sampsonā€™) was fantastic, gave an outstanding historical narrative. The down side was that the group was huge and unwieldy, about 50 people. Thatā€™s way too many, and made it hard to keep the group together and hear everything. Also FYI this only covers a portion of the Freedom Trail, not the whole thing as I had thought. Still, worth the time and money.

I don't know if this is the same organization that I bought our tickets through freedomtrail.org. But our guide, Dr. Byles, was funny, engaging and super informative. We could have listened to his stories of Boston for the rest of the day!

OUTSTANDING! This wonderful tour of the city gave us a great foundation on which to base our first trip to Boston ever! John Hancock (our tour guide) did an outstanding job of not only revealing the deep history of the city, but also gave a wonderful look inside the culture and manners of the time. We felt this was a very well-rounded walking tour. Just make sure you've got some comfortable walking shoes are are prepared to stand the entire time. But doing it this was provided a more in-depth and personal experience. During the tour, we saw several buses driving around. While these passengers were able to sit down throughout the tour, they missed out on the depth and richness of what was presented on this tour. Definitely take this one if you want a more immersive Boston tour.
