The Tour of The Freedom Trail by the Histrionic Academy is the best way to see Boston. You will meet your costumed guide in the Boston Common and hear about Boston's inspiring history. Following the freedom trail past several historic sites guests will be amazed by the stories of America's Founding Fathers, the American Revolution and New England's Colonial History. This walking tour Follows the Freedom Trail for approximately 1.2 miles from the Boston Common to Faneuil Hall.

Our guide, who portrayed the character Deborah Sampson - the only woman to earn a full military pension for fighting in the Revolutionary war - who knew!, was amazing! She brought the late 1700s in Boston back to life for us. It was interesting, entertaining, and educational.

Our guide was outstanding. I can’t remember her name but her character was Deborah Sampson. She was interesting, funny, and kept the pace. She even saved us from being hit by a distracted driver (had to break character for that one lol) This tour was my favorite part of this trip. Funny because I wasn’t going to do it because I have a boo boo on my toe and I’m so glad I sucked it up and participated. It’s a 90 minute walking tour but there’s only one hill and lots of stops. I learned a lot and found alot of things- I thought I knew, were wrong. This was a really great experience but without our tour guide I would have been bored to death. If you take The Freedom Trail I highly recommend you have a guide🌟

The quality of this tour is totally dependent on the guide- and we had a pretty bad one. I’d recommendation private tour. Our guide took us to 6 (not the advertised 16) and spent most of his time chatting with the participants and playing with two children. We learned a little and saw some interesting sites, but not as much as we expected.
