Touring and Hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park

Overview
This tour is unique in that you will be on guided shorter hikes in Mt. Rainier National Park. From November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months.
We hike a few miles throughout the day and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and tall trees in old-growth forest which are all the highlights in Mount Rainier National Park.
(In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times).

What To Expect
1
Mount Rainier
We drive to Mt. Rainier National Park (2 hours) and hike from the visitor center at Paradise for about a mile where we picnic close to some giant glaciers. We then hike back for a mile and drive to viewpoints with panoramic views and we see the Narada Falls and the Christine Falls, old growth forests with a thousand year old big trees and the Reflection Lakes. In Winter and Spring seasons (November-June) we will snowshoe rather than hiking - no experience required.
2
Seattle
Pick up and drop off is in Seattle downtown.
3
Space Needle
Alternatively, pick up and drop off is near the Space Needle, if requested.
4
Paradise
We hike about a mile near the glaciers in the area of Paradise in 5,500 feet elevation. This is also where the main visitor center is located in Mt. Rainier National Park.
5
Narada Falls
We hike to the bottom of Narada Falls - 168-foot fall near Paradise.
6
Reflection Lakes
We see the Reflection Lakes where Mt. Rainier is often reflected in the summer time. In the winter the lake is frozen and the road is closed.
7
Christine Falls Viewpoint
We see the Christine Falls under the old stone bridge.
8
Longmire
We walk in old-growth forest in the National Park near Longmire in lower elevation.

This day trip to Mount Rainier exceeded my expectations! Snowshoeing up Mount Rainier was incredible, and the other short hikes allowed us to see other terrain in the park as well. Some in our group found the steepness of the first part of the Mount Rainier hike to be a challenge, but it's worth the effort to get to the picnic spot if you are physically able. Susan was a great guide and shared interesting facts about the park along the way. I highly recommend this experience — we made lifetime memories doing this!

Another awesome tour with Susan, highly recommend it! Would be very nice to be able to go back during summer time but I think hiking on glacier also has its own beauty :)
