Tour Chicago's Pedway system—a network of underground tunnels that allow pedestrians to pass from one end of the Loop to the other—and enjoy seasonal holiday sights along the way.
We meet in the lobby of the Swissotel then descend into the Pedway. We pass through several buildings—and a train station— on our way to the Cultural Center to see its famous Tiffany Dome. The Pedway then takes us to Macy's to see the Tiffany Ceiling, the Walnut Room's Great Tree and decorated windows.
After a quick break, we return to the Pedway and follow it to the Civic Center where we ascend at the Christkindl Market, a lively outdoor holiday festival. We return to the Pedway to visit City Hall and Marriage Court then head to a nearby L Stop.
A quick train ride takes us to the origin/terminus of Route 66 and the Art Institute’s holiday lions. Lastly, the Pedway takes us to Millennium Park to see the city's Christmas Tree and the famous Cloud Gate sculpture, aka, The Bean, where we'll end our tour.
