My daughter and I went here a few months back in the fall on 2017. It took a bit to get started as you have to go through a safety briefing and there was a large group in front of us. But after that you are untimed and free to go through the course at your own comfort level. I highly suggest bringing gloves and purchasing the water option.

Thank you for writing a review and for the expert planning tips! Because safety is our number one priority, we start off our self-paced courses with group safety training where you learn to use your gear and get a preview of what you’ll encounter in the trees. We apologize that your training took longer than average on the day you visited, but we’re thrilled to hear that you had a great time climbing. Thanks again for your review, we can’t wait to see you again in the trees! - Hannah K Guest Service Guide

Several years ago my daughter and I went to TreeUmph. The place is great. The one exception was that a group of teenagers arrived about the same time on a Sunday. it became chaos extremely quickly! The raging hormones kicked in and the showing off began. We could not wait to get out of there, in fact, we asked to be taken down.My best suggestion for anyone a bit older or with young kids to check and see if they have a large group of teenagers coming through that day.

Thank you for your review and your visit. I'm glad you and your daughter thought our courses were great! I'm sorry other climbers on the courses that day put a damper on your experience. We encourage all guest in the video instructions at the beginning of their adventure to be courteous to other climbers by not shaking bridges or rushing others. Our guides, when they know there is an issue, are trained help relieve situations like this by facilitating guests to pass each other so that each climber can move comfortably at their own pace. Guests are always welcome to speak with guides or our management team if they are unhappy with other guests behavior. Thank you again for your review and we hope you will give us another try and experience all TreeUmph! has to offer. -Amariah D.

Just went for the first time to Tree-umph in Bradenton, FL. We were a family of 8, ranging in age from 74 to 7. While us two grand parents did not climb, we had more fun watching everyone else. The 7 year old was able to climb the ape-up course with a companion on the ground encouraging him. He made it around twice, and ran out of energy. It was energy consuming, but doable. The 9 year old had no trouble with the junior course, followed by his Dad who found it great exercise and fun. The other two 30 somethings went on to section 4 and found it all they could handle. That was enough for them...they finished sections 1-3 with the juniors and then section 4. Section 5 is more advanced and no one had the energy for that one. Everyone, even the watchers enjoyed themselves and felt like they got a good workout. Staff was wonderful and very supportive and fun! Highly recommended. Just know it requires a bunch of climbing and using muscles that may not have climbed trees for a while.
