Took this tour after the chinatown one. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire is something I’ve heard about before but never fully understood what it was. The tour guide is really great and turned what I thought was going to be a really sad story into an uplifting one. The union square part of the tour was my favorite part, the guide got really energetic and it was really eye opening.

I have long known about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire but Dan's tour was so illuminating. Not only did the tragedy result in much stronger fire laws in the city, it also strengthened the role of labor unions in fighting to prevent the conditions that led to the fire. Dan is a knowledgeable and exciting tour guide with an obvious passion for history and for sharing these important moments with others. Well worth it.

As kind of a NYC history nerd, I really enjoy hearing about the context for the unique events that are part of "who we are" as a city. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire tour was so eye-opening -- and Dan clearly knows his stuff. Plus you can tell he loves history, too, and made it so interesting for all of us. I thought I knew this event's history inside and out but Dan provided new information and showed us key parts of the city related to all that occurred in the time of the fire.
