Triple Crater Hawaii Volcano Hiking Adventure

Overview
Hike with an experienced volcano guide to not one, but THREE of the major craters of Mount Kilauea in Hawaii Volcanoes National park in one day!  Truly an awesome and unique experience hiking these awesome attractions!
1) Mauna Ulu, an impressive still-steaming crater where you can peer down into the depths of the volcano!
2) Across Kilauea Iki Crater floor, a spectacular hike across the still steaming vents since it's last eruption! Includes jungle hiking and an impressive but challenging climb out of the crater! Don't worry, you can do it!
3) Currently there is lava activity within the Halema'uma'u crater, but this is a regularly changing event. Assuming there is any activity, or even volcanic "glow" we will definitely include this in our tour as a final stop.

Including both deli-style lunch and local-style dinner, as well as transport in style in a Benz high-ceiling van, this moderately strenuous hike will leave a lasting impression of Hawaii's awesome volcanoes.

We packed a ton into a single day and it was great! Our guide, Mike Nelson, was a wealth of knowledge. Whether telling stories, teaching us which berries and plants are edible, sharing his favorite go to restaurants in Hilo, hiking around Rainbow Falls, to Makaopuhi Crater and the ridge line of steam vents, through Kilauea Iki Crater, or using his astronomic telescope to give us the best view of the lava in Kilauea at night, he had a great attitude and energy. He clearly has a passion for this. We were a group of 7 adults we were able to have our own private tour with varying degrees of hiking fitness. All had a great time. I highly recommend it.
