At first, I was surprised at how much work it took to get the trolly moving and the speed at which it goes (pedestrians on the sidewalk were walking faster). Also, there were 16 people on this tour (2 were staff) and of the remaining 14, only 9 of us could pedal (two people sat on a bench with no pedals, 2 people sat over axels with no pedals, and one set of pedals was broken. So initially, I was a tad skeptical. Then the beer started flowing, we had pedaled to a location where there were tons of people, and you immediately stop caring about how much work it is to pedal. We went to the Gritty, Paul's Club, and State Street Brats, so we were on state street for a big portion of the tour and there were people everywhere. We got a lot of laughs, a lot of people dancing along with us, bikers giving us high five, and a ton of photos. I wish I could post a video that I took of us on our last leg of this tour - it captures the experience perfectly. The two staff members were great and took care of us, kept us on schedule, and had great personalities. If you're looking for something unique to do as a group and can accept that you'll need to do some serious pedaling, give this a shot. And bring some good tunes, because that'll really determine the energy your crew has.
