Trolley Tour in Historic Jim Thorpe

Overview

Our historic trolley tour goes from the visitor center at 2 Susquehanna St. through the Jim Thorpe Memorial, the Lehigh Gorge State Park, up Broadway past all the shops, restaurants, and museums to the Mauch Chunk Lake and drop off back at the visitor center. This 70 minute tour is a great way to see most of the town of Jim Thorpe, some of our beautiful natural scenery, great things to do while in town, and our historic buildings along Broadway! Our tour is a live narration with some of the interesting history of the town as well as our name sake.

Fun and entertaining, learned many cool historical facts about the town and its inhabitants. Departed right on time, about 90 minutes. A very fun way to explore the area up and around the main shopping area of Jim Thorpe. We didn’t want to drive anywhere to sight see and this showed us a good amount of area around the town.

This was an informative, open air ride through Jim Thorpe and the surrounding area. The driver/guide was awesome. He had a great sense of humor and was able to share the local history in a family fun way. Highly recommend taking the ride!
