True Crime NYC: Mafia Walk w/Ret. NYPD Detective & Local Food

Why our experience over all others? We LIVED this firsthand. We are Born and raised in Little Italy or worked in the area as NYPD Officers. We go to places the tour companies don't know exist and see things often missed while meeting locals along the way. I will appear in the Prime Video documentary "Life After Goodfellas” release to be on 35th anniversary of the film.
Start with Behind the scenes at John's of 12th Street restaurant with spaghetti tasing finish with Italian pastry at local shop Est 1931. This is a NYC Mafia experience from a true “insider’s perspective” of the East Village NYC mafia & Crime history as well as local Gang history.

Starting with private VIP tasting at a famous Mafia "Red Sauce Joint" seen in Soprano's "Life After Goodfellas" & "Get Gotti" this experience starts in the East Village, ends in Little Italy, we visit notorious Mafia & Crime locations, share true crime stories and crime locations in the neighborhood including gang history & locations.

What To Expect

New York City

Get the insider's perspective on the infamous Mafia crime families of New York City on this walking tour with a full-sized cannoli not the typical crappy tour company cannoli. Walk through the vibrant and fascinating gangland area of New York’s East Village and Little Italy. Walk where infamous Mafia leaders such as Myer Lanski, Lucky Luciano, Joe Bonnano, John Gotti and others operated their elusive and deadly business.

East Village

We begin at 302 E 12th Street at a NYC “Red Sauce Joint” frequented by NYC mafia members. The place where the NYC Mafia began and founded by Lucky Luciano. Here we begin with spaghetti welcome.

East Village

We begin the tour in the East Village, where you will learn the complex origins of the Mafia in New York City, and learn the hierarchies within each crime family from the foot soldiers, to the captains and the ‘Boss’. Walk in the footsteps of famed mobsters like Lucky Luciano, Joe ‘the boss’ Masseria, John Gotti – the Teflon Don, “Vinny the Chin” and “Crazy Joe” Gallo, as you hear about their lives, and their crimes.

My partner and I loved this tour and had a lot of fun. We took the day tour that starts at 11 am. Dan is an amazing tour guide. We learned so much about the crime history of the area. Dan also shared with us insider stories that made the tour special. The cannolis from the local bakery were also amazing. We highly recommend this tour to everyone!

This tour was one of our two favourite tours we did in New York. Dan our tour guide was so informative and clear when explaining about the mafia and crime stories of the area. It was totally engaging and would recommend to anyone. Dan also could answer all our questions and his life experience was so interesting we could have chatted with him for longer than we had. The tour through Little Italy and Chinatown were lovely and it was nice to see something different from the high rise futuristic buildings of Manhattan. Thankyou Dan for an amazing tour.

Dennis has so much knowledge and made the tour very enjoyable. He grew up around the area which gives a unique perspective. Don’t take another tour that just repeats what Google says - you will miss out! Dennis is the real deal! Highly recommend his tour!
