Drive on America's most scenic road, the famous Seward Highway, and stop at spots like Beluga Point to scan the landscape for wildlife. At the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, see where injured and orphaned animals are brought to be rehabilitated, and observe large mammals like caribou, bison, and elk. Lunch is not included but available for purchase at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Later, drive through the Chugach Mountains, before finishing the guided, small group tour with pick up and drop off in Anchorage.

What To Expect
1
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, research, education and quality animal care. AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides them with spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Most of the animals that arrive at the AWCC become permanent residents and will always have a home here. The Center maintains over 200 acres of spacious habitats for animals to feel at home and display their natural “wild” behavior. Visitors may see brown bears cooling off in the water, a bull moose strutting, wood bison roaming on pastures and more.
2
Beluga Point
This is a popular stop as you travel the Seward Highway. Here you'll find 180 degree views of Turnagain Arm. There's an extensive viewing area with spotting scopes and interpretive signs. This is an excellent spot to watch the bore tide. The incoming tide stretched the entire width of Turnagain Arm and can be six feet high as it rushes in. Watch for kayakers and surfers riding the wave for several miles. Look for beluga whales rolling in the surf (starting in September)

Outstanding tour and fortunately for us it was just the four of us so we able to go where we wanted to go and spend the amount of time where we wanted to spend the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. He pointed out the right things and the highlight of the tour was fun in the Eagles nest with two adult eagles guarding the nest that was spectacular the rest of it was also outstanding. I wish I had brought a slightly warmer coat however as the temperature was about 10° cooler than Anchorage that’s my complaint but that one is on me

We thoroughly enjoyed the day traveling on the Seward Parkway visiting the Portage Glacier, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and Flattop Mountain. Our guide was knowledgable, patient and up beat. We spent a delightful day in breath taking scenery with interesting and friendly traveling companions.
