The entire Everglades area, including Everglades National Park, is a wonderful place for to view dolphins. With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only Park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than its geological features. However, most of the 1.5 million acres in the Park are flooded and essentially out of reach for the average visitor. Everglades Area Tours can you take you to areas seldom reached by others. In comfortable captain's style seating, you will be safely brought deep into Everglades National Park's 10,000 Islands for an interpretive tour with your naturalist guide. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds. We made our reservations based on reviews and really lucked out! It was one of the most enjoyable parts of our visit to FL! Our guide, Charles, was terrific, funny and very informative. We saw Osprey, eagles and dolphins.....only a few feet away. We went on the 11:00 tour. Make sure you do sunscreen as there is no cover on boat. You will not be disappointed. It was a lovely experience! BTW.....office is very modest and tucked away in a small neighborhood.

Oh my goodness! We had a great time on this tour with our guide, Charles. It was beautiful and fascinating. We actually saw dolphins! It was the best way to spend part of the day in the Everglades and we were only 1 1/2 hours from Ft. Myers. Also, the office is a bit hidden among other places. No big sign.....but it’s there. Enjoy!

Don was an awesome guide. You can tell he loves his job and caring for the environment. Visiting the island and seeing the shells and birds was informative.
