I want to thank Stephen for this amazing and informative tour of U Street. I loved all of the inside information that personalized and lifted these historic figures off the pages. Mixed in were the delicious food samples of historic restaurants and the blend of emerging cultures. Most of all I enjoyed how he thread the needle on the successes of small black businesses by the few supporting sources available to them. Stephen painted such a vivid picture that despite all of the obstacles against Black Americans there would always be an enormous amount of pride to succeed for themselves and future generations. What an honor it was learn about this fabric of America embedded in this U Street community.

Dear Rose, your review made me choke up a little...I so appreciate that you enjoyed our tour. Your experience is exactly what we are aiming to deliver. That said, I apologize for the delay in my response! Stefan and I have been so focused of adapting and operating safely that I failed to notice your review. Thank you so much for joining us and I hope that you tour another neighborhood with us in the future. Cheers, Mary

My fiancé and I had a great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the area. He was super flexible and was able to find great spots for us to check out, even though a lot of restaurants were closed due to the pandemic. I would definitely recommend checking out this tour while in DC.

Hi Arianna~ Sorry for the delay in responding here! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your experience with us. We have worked hard during the pandemic to make sure our tours live up the same standards that we had in past years. Thank you so much for joining us and for taking the time to write us a review!

I’m a DC local, but I don’t know a ton about the city’s local history. This was the perfect tour to fix that! I learned SO much about U Street’s history, and I got to try so much amazing food!! My tour guide, Tiffany, was extremely knowledgeable. If you’re looking to get off the beaten path in DC and eat great food, you definitely need to take this tour.
