Our tour guide was excellent and she very informative. I do think that the party you serve should be taken more into account when doing the food tour. It started out with a bang with Ben’s chili bowl then I felt as though I was left hanging. As a meat eater, this experience was too lacking in the meat category. I did not mind trying new foods but I would have loved if there were meatier options with the option of vegetarian meals. I honestly expected more from the food part of the food tour. The history aspect was great and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I also think you should add entrees from the chicken spot near the Lacy’s apartment competition and the old business school. It’s historical so you say, so how about support them 🤷🏽‍♀️!

Hi Telisha! Thank you for your feedback; I'm disappointed that our tour didn't meet your expectations. :( I appreciate your restaurant suggestion. There are so many points of historical interest on the U St corridor! We are very proud to support the partner restaurants that we work with. Over the years, we've adjusted our route and content as few times, so you never know....we are all about supporting the neighborhoods we tour! Cheers, Mary

Our food tour of the U Street area of DC exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide Scott Gilbert made it especially interesting as he is both a foodie and a history major. We learned so much about this less known area of DC and its place in the history of DC and of our country. We tasted a variety of foods from Ethiopian cuisine to chili at the historically significant Ben’s Chili Bowl. Strolling through this area was a visual and historic delight.
