A great tour. We learned a lot about U Street and sample some food I might not have tried. My nephews are 9, and they had a blast.

We're so glad your nephews had a good time, pre-teens can be brutal! Thanks for your nice review, Shandra!

Jason was accommodating, knowledgeable and enthusiastic However, his eagerness to share information resulted in far too much talking. The tour was at least 65% detailed “information overload.” We enjoy food tours where ever we travel; and although they always includes some education, the emphasis is normally the food. Also, we felt that the $104 was over-priced for 4 stops. We normally pay $65 - $75, which includes 5 or 6 food stops. Also, for four food stops, this tour should be no more than 2 hours (max).

Thank you for taking the time to review us multiple places, Dianne! Our tour prices include donations to charity as well as a 20% tip to service staff at our restaurant partners, who receive full price for all of our tastings. We may have fewer stops than most food tours, but as they are more substantial we try to give our guests an opportunity to work up an appetite in between each tasting. Thanks again for your support!

This tour was meant to be 3 hours long. After 3h20 we'd not got to the third of four stops and we had to leave due to another commitment. Really interesting content, but the tour guide Jason made no attempt to keep to time. A disappointing experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Katie! We have been working with Jason to ensure that his passion for DC's vast history doesn't overwhelm our guests and their busy schedules. It's important to us to learn from our guests' feedback, so thank you for giving us an opportunity to grow!
