This is a great way to discover Cape Ann. It really felt like we had a tour guide with us and we learned a lot about the history of the area. We really appreciated the tour taking us to places that we would have not gone to otherwise. This is well worth the money. A few notes: - Going back up to Granite St after you go down to Granite Pier (34) cannot be done as depicted on the map as the "going back up" section of Wharf Rd has a "do not enter" sign. It seemed legit (maybe this section is just "one way") and it's really not an issue at all since you can come back up the way you went down. But just reporting this. - Once you get to (37), you can't seem to continue on the road towards the Emerson Inn die to another "do not enter" sign. We were not sure it was legit and Google map didn't show this as a private road so we went anyway. - We did this on a weekday (Tuesday) on September 29, on a partly cloudy day. Traffic and parking was never an issue - Better make sure you're not going to run out of gas once you're out of Gloucester. There seems to be only one gas station in Rockport. The experience was very good. What would make it excellent for us would be to have turn by turn direction integrated (not by adding artificially more blue dots) but truly integrated with Google Maps and/or Apple Maps. Not sure this is easily possible though.

So thrilled you enjoyed the tour and thanks a ton for the detailed review!! We’ll take a closer look at 34 and 37 ASAP and make sure that it’s all 100% accurate. We have considered “true” turn-by-turn nav for a while but when we first tried it, it created more questions instead of reducing them! But your review definitely has us thinking again about our decision. Thanks again!

Took an audio tour in Hawaii. You should use that as a standard to meet. Yours missed the Mark. Very thin commentary. Poor directions. Beautiful area but left with lots of questions.

I’m sorry your experience wasn’t excellent! Can you tell us if there were specific areas where the directions were off or where you wished to hear more? We’re always working on improving the tour so any feedback would be a huge help! We’d also be happy to offer a refund since your experience wasn’t what you expected. Our contact links are on your ticket.

Information was very good — both interesting and informative. Learned some very interesting history. Appreciated the way the app used my location to cue the narrative. A couple of times, it wasn’t clear where we needed to turn, and had to backtrack a little. We couldn’t get the app to talk through the car stereo, which was frustrating, but we managed without that. The tech guy who responded to our call was very nice and said this was not an unusual problem, which is a shame and ought to be fixed. Overall, enjoyed this, especially in the current time of avoiding group activities, and would definitely buy another tour from these folks.
