Underground Donut Tour in Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Greenpoint

Overview

Our tour begins in the Williamsburg neighborhood at Doughnut Plant, one of the best donut shops in Brooklyn. Here we’ll try some of their amazing donuts, featured above. After that, we’ll take a leisurely walk through McCarren Park. We’ll then continue our way to two amazing donut shops in Greenpoint. We’ll end our tour at Peter Pan Donuts, one of the oldest and best donut shops in Brooklyn. At each location, we'll sample several different types, flavors and styles of donuts, so come hungry! Just an FYI - the tour does not begin and end at the same location, but public transit is plentiful.

We loved our tour with Tarik, who showed us art and culture in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods. It was a “private tour” for us, as there were just the two of us with our guide, Tarik. It was a lot of fun on a sunny (almost) winter day. A great memory

I was the only person on the tour and it still went ahead. Justin the tour guide had good knowledge. Their was also a trainee guide on the tour who turned up over 45 minutes late. As I was the only person on the tour I was able to pick which donut I wanted at each of the four stops. The donuts were all amazing and teasted so much better then the Donuts in the UK Location is a bit misleading if you don't know the area. It says Brooklyn, Willamsburg and Greenpoint. As the tour is an afternoon one I decided to in the Morning walk over the Brooklyn bridge and do the Dumbo area before going to the meeting point. The tour starts in Willamsburg which is an hours walk from the Brooklyn bridge or on the Subway you have to back into central Manattan to change on to the correct line to get to the meeting point. This seens to be a common issue with this company. As I was also booked on the Chicago tour which says it takes place in the Loop. I was staying in the main central loop but the meeting point was in one of the other loops. Which again was a long walk away so I cancelled the tour.
