We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. At each location, you'll be able to try a curated sample of that location's best donuts. Many locations offer vegan, gluten or nut free options, however, please make sure to let us know ahead of the tour, so we can make sure to highlight those specifically for you. Our tours include such favorites as Federal Donuts, Dotties Donuts, Beilers Doughnuts and more.

We went last weekend and we were with Joe, a college history professor. We had so much fun. Our favorite was Dottie’s Donuts. It was good weather and we heard so many interesting stories about the background of Philly and lots of history. We LOVED it. Thanks so much Joe!

I bought this tour as a gift for my sister and her husband who were visiting Philly to celebrate their joint 40th birthdays. They ended up being the only ones on the tour and had a blast! I want to go check it out for myself now!

2/7/20 Tour with Joe, In this order: Federal Donuts (gourmet boutique, and freshest donuts ever) Dotties Donuts (100% Vegan, the Mango kollsi will blow your mind) Tall Charlies (rolled ice cream in a donut with multiple topping options) Beilers (Traditional Penn Dutch hand crafted blueberry fritters) Recommendation: Healthy walk, bring comfortable shoes and if's chilly dress appropriately as there will be occasional stops along the way. If you are a germ-a-phob bring hand sanitizer pre/post eating sessions as you will be walking around a city probably touching things. Highlights: Honestly I'm not sure what was better the donuts or all the fun historical and local facts that Joe pointed out along the way in between stops. Joe btw is a professor of history and literature, no kidding, and you will know right away on your first non donut sightseeing stop. You can see there's passion in his story telling and it really pulls you in, and it will typically finish with you saying "Wow, I had no idea" Rather than go on a dedicated Philly history tour, Id highly recommend this and eat some phenomenal donuts along the way and learn about the owners inspiration in creating these master pieces. I travel for a living and frequently take tours, this one should be on the top of your list.
