Underground Donut Tour - Santa Monica

Overview

The Santa Monica donut tour is our first foray into sunny Southern California. This tour celebrates all things donuts, sunshine, and beachfront fun. Our tour begins at a California institution, Randy’s Donuts. You may know Randy’s from their many appearances across TV, movies, and music videos, specifically for their iconic giant donut. After we’ve tried some of their amazing classics, we’ll move on to our next location, Sidecar Doughnuts. If you are looking for amazing, artisanal donuts - you’ve come to the right place. Our third location is a slightly unexpected stop, but still quintessentially California for churros. And our last stop may change based on the group or the weather, so we won’t ruin the surprise, but the two options we’ve picked out are both equally fantastic.

What To Expect

Santa Monica Pier

We may end the tour here or potentially at nearby donut shop depending on the weather and how far the group wants to walk.

Third Street Promenade

We'll walk through the 3rd street promenade to check out the many shops and restaurants nearby.

Good way to get a short walking tour of Santa Monica+Whilshire Blvd and surrounding areas, etc., and a sampling of donuts/fried dough!

What a sweet tour! Had a blast discovering the Santa Monica donut scene. Sidecar donuts was definitely the best! Libby was awesome and it was just so nice chatting with her for the duration of our walk. Plus, ending at the Santa Monica pier was perfect. Highly recommend!

I had such a great time on this tour with my friend, who was visiting from out of town. Even though I’ve lived in LA for years, I’ve never really walked around Santa Monica before. All the donuts were super delicious and the tour guide was professional and super knowledgeable. I was worried that the walking might be too long for my friend, but it was the perfect distance….didn’t feel like a hike, plenty of stops along the way, and ample opportunity to rest and grab a drink of water if needed. And did a mention how good the donuts were!!! Really impressed with the experience overall and I would totally do another donut tour in some of their other cities/locations.
